Default Had anyone seen 964 at Holt Motorsports?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a chance to look at the red 964 coupe for sale at Holt Motrosports? Here is the link to the car:

http://www.holtmotorsports.com/inven...arrera-/420289

Looks very clean and apparently comes with a lot of records... Just wondering if its worth the asking price...

Thanks!

What is the asking price? Holt's cars are usually 25%+ market and he caters to clients with more money than time.

What been done to it? Recent Rebuild? Reseal? Any major recent big ticket parts/service?

It's a '93 and it only has 75k miles, plus being in good condition (per their description), but I don't think that makes it that big of a big buck car.

It caught my eye the other day also, I'm always on the lookout for Cup4s.
Very good looking car. Vandits asking all the same questions I had.

I like this one MUCH better....it is obviously an extremely rare Porsche....perhaps the only one in existence

" These splendid 964 Carrera 4WD coupes were only made in the US in 1994. "

I was unaware of a US Porsche plant....was this the only one built there?....

It's hardly the only one. 256 were imported to the US, not made in the US. This model was also sold around the world and in the UK as an anniversary edition with a '911' badge on the rear and 911 were imported to the UK.

I don't know the total number (probably in Adrian's book) but it's well over 1000.

A good chunk of them are silver or black.

I'm considering buying this car. Holt's is asking $61,500.

The Anniversary is not the same as the TL models of the US.
Main difference is the TL USA models use a Turbo body where the Anni uses a C4 body. They both have the wide fenders and C4 running gear... with some small exceptions (example rotors).

The Anni had a list of options that were included in the package. Only 911 were produced and exported all over the world as an ROW model (not only the UK). They were all numbered on the rear shelf.

The C4TL models for the USA are rare as well... but no data supports over 1000 cars. I haven't seen numbers confirmed but 256 is used frequently... but it could have been as much as 450.

I just saw this car a week or so ago, actaully considered purchasing it.

It is beautiful, great condition. 34k does seem high tho.

I just purchased a black 92 c4 coupe with 42,000 miles from him and couple weeks ago and couldnt be happier. It seems like most of the cars he has are low mile and in great shape.

besides the car itself, he was very helpful in the buying process. You can tell when speaking to someone that they are genuine and a tru enthusiast- he def. seems to be this type of person.

I have no affiliation with Holt motorsports, I just figure my great experience with he and his son may help you and your decision. I also had a PPI done at a shop close to HOlt, let me know If i can help with anything and goodluck!

Welcome Gpchaz151.

I haven't bought a car from Holt, but I can agree with your comments based in many years of watching his website and reading comments from those who have purchased from him.

Please intro your car in another thread, it must be a stunner?!

I meant over 1000 between ROW and USA.

UK Anniversary model (like all Jubilee cars) was indeed a widebody C4...maybe in some other markets there were anniversary models that weren't?

http://www.964uk.com/html/964-1d.htm

"1993 celebrated the 30th anniversary of the launch of the 911 and to mark the event Porsche produced a limited edition of the 964 - often referred to as the "Jubilee" or "Celebration" model. With only 911 examples produced in a limited choice of exterior colours (Viola, Polar Silver and Amethyst) the "Jubilee" had a very high specification with full leather interior, 4 wheel drive, airbags and air conditioning. Every example was built as a wide bodied coupe and each had a uniquely numbered plaque on the rear parcel shelf to indicate it's place in the series of 911 cars. There were rumoured to be an elusive 12 cars of the 911 which were finished differently but information is very scarce. There is definitely at least one car of the series which was painted Guards Red at the factory. Commanding a significant price premium over the standard Carrera 4, the Anniversary models are very sought after and rarely come up for sale

Thomas Englert runs the Jubilee Register in Germany where he maintains records for many of the surviving Jubilee cars. The Register can be accessed at www.jubi.pocg.de (click on the banner below) and Thomas can be contacted by e-mail here."

Now you know what would be wild? A 993TT dirvetrain in a 1994 C4 widebody!

yep from the website:

An absolutely stunning 964 Turbo body coupe. Finished in Polar Silver with Stone Grey Leather. This rare and collectible 94' is in amazing condition. It comes equipped with heated seats, full comfort seats, cruise control and rear wiper to list a few. It has a full clear bra as well. Never modified. This beauty runs like new. Window sticker @ $84, 000 +. These splendid 964 Carrera 4WD coupes were only made in the US in 1994. This was the end of an era of the high front fender 911's and the exceptionally high material and craftmanship standards. Only 238 of these widebodies were ever made and this Silver example is surely one of the best in existence. Please Call Tim Holt
