Default Center of attention: 964 centerlock test

The D-Zug guys came over the other day to see how their new 5 spoke centerlock wheel look on a 964?

Well…we actually tested only one wheel since D-Zug mostly focuses on 934 and 935 products, and you can imagine how big their wheels are (19X15!!!). We installed one of their “small” 18X10 wheels on the rear of my car. The wheel is made by Forgeline and is completely customizable in regards to offset (and/or 5 bolt pattern. I’ve also included a couple extra pics of the 5 bolt –to- centerlock conversion hub.

Keep in mind that wheels in these pictures are photoChopped (rear is installed, but lowered and pushed in. The front wheel is completely photoChopped). They would look amazing on a 964 with Turbo fenders...

I love the super clean lines, and the centerlock nut looks cool as hell! What do you guys think?

Yes... but now you need freakishly large brakes....

Looks terrific. What size torque wrench and breaker bar do you need for it?

Cool - is there more than an esthetic advantage?

Udo, thanks for posting.

For now, working with Forgeline to create our custom line of centerlock wheels, we r limited to 18's and 19's by the existing Forgeline center stock. We hope to have a 17 in the near, but not immediate future.

BTW, for u guys interested, Forgeline is finishing a custom set of these for us in 19x13 that bolt in place of the vintage BBS's on our K3 )

Wow, those look really nice. Maybe if they had a smaller width, say a 9? That would fit nicely in the NB fenders!

Like the idea, but much to square a profile for the curvy 964.

The Carrera GT wheel would look ace.

^^^^

The early Cayman S wheel is nearly dead on for the Carrera GT wheel and fits the 964 w/ spacers

Great weight saving too - you can throw the space-saver spare away!

the 5-bolt to centrelock is a bit silly really .. guess it is for show?

10 is an easy fit with the correct offset.
