I installed 993 C4 motor mounts last year on my 90 C2. No issues and they are a direct bolt in:

New motor mounts are a great upgrade. For a little more money, you could buy adjustable and repairable motor mounts from Wevo.

Billy,
If your motor mounts are sagging, you can expect:
The car will have an improved solid, direct feel.
+ stability tight corners (engine isn't flopping around as you set up for a turn)
Improved gear shifting feel
A little more cabin roar.
Can be install one side at a time with a floorjack.

I would advise going with the RS mounts. The RS mounts will be stiffer and have less give then the stock mounts allowing for less flex over bumps, cornering will seem more composed, and overall handling will improve. They kit we offer includes two mounts, and all bolts, washers, and nuts needed for the conversion. To view the kit Click Here.

I don't particularly notice the engine moving around but sometimes these things are only obvious once you've fixed them. What do you look for visually to tell? A couple of photos of my mounts are below.

I've just noticed the lefthand one is cracked, which is probably one of the signs!
And I hadn't realised how dirty it was in my engine bay!
