Default The luckiest people in the world.......

Is it me or do we all here feel the same way? This is my first post here yet I have owned my amazing machine for 4 years and have been following this forum for about 12 months. I regularly visit this forum and believe it to be the best of its kind with people that are honestly good in their intent to help others that have a common passion ( obsession ) .*
This is a credit to you all.
*What inspired me to write this is the constant feeling that I have truly found a vehicle that pushes all the right buttons.*
Our 964's are a classic timeless shape that feel fast at any speed, feel like a part of you, it's mechanical growl gives you goose bumps and the drive is modern yet raw with exhilarating *performance. I don't believe any other Porsche ticks all these boxes.
If you could just have one car to take out and enjoy have some time out from your daily routine then this is it.
I feel like I have discovered *a secret that can change every bodies lives and I want to tell the world. But then again there aren't that many 964's out there so I guess that makes us the luckiest people in the world.
Cheers.

I had that same thought this morning as I was driving to work. I happen to notice my cab's mileage and realized that I've had the car for 20 years and have put over 210K miles on it. It had just over 26K when I purchased it. A lot of miles and smiles.

Outstanding first post Kermitt!! And yes, same feeling here!! Great community of Porsche lovers that are here to help each other out. We gracefully ignore the ones that don't follow suit, lol.

Nice post Kermitt.

You know no matter how beautiful the 964 is, it's the drive that makes me feel lucky to own it. As you say it just fits. I feel like it was built for me, then my very tall (some might say gangly) mate gets in yesterday and starts with the "what a great little car, never thought I'd be so comfortable", three hours later and we're with one of those guys who loves 964's but never took the plunge. He clearly knew far more about them than me!

If you haven't already go buy one, you'll never look back!

Hey Kermitt first post and a good way to start out. From what you have in the post I call the GRIN FACTOR. When you drive these cars its all of what you have in your post hat just makes you grin inside.
My sister had a 69 Chevy SS with a 396 when you got in the power band it just made that feeling and you said H&!! YES.
These cars make you do the same and at a slower speed to boot you cannot get enough of driving them.
And ppl all the time come up and say hey you have a really good looking car. You have joined the club and all that read these post are more than ready to keep you going in the right direction. I will never never get rid of my 964. Just to much of the grin factor ...

Ditto to all the above.
I have never had a car I make excuses to drive. It was my saving grace during separation, custody battle etc. It is the best thing beside my kid that has happened to me. Nuts right. Naaahhh. I am more than a little obsessed. I can't see how any person who calls himself a man does not own a 911.. Just my 2 cents worth.

Totally agree, they are fantastic cars, I love it even more as it is a family/tarck car.....(for me ...)
well until my son won't fit at the back

the only downside is that you have to spend a fortune to make like a rocket ....
which is well deserved....
welcome on board !

I, too, agree in every word!
964s are really a special blend of classic and modern, something magic, that's not easy to explain.

WELCOME

A goodly good entrance, Kermitt.

Now, not to be too crass, but... show us your wheels, man!

Thank you all for your warm welcome. Took me a while to work out how to upload a photo but finally did it.

Here is my Forest green manual C2 grin maker.

Cheers Kermitt.

Ditto that - very cool combo. Love forest green - really suits the 964 but very few around.
