265 / 35 on 9 x18 rims ?
Hi guys,
Just sold my Soeedlines, and go for an OZ Allegueritas set,
The front will be 8 x 18 ET 50 with 225 x 40
The rears I am not sure,
There is a 9 ET 43 ,with a good offset,
Is anyone had fitted a 265 / 35 on a 9 rim,
I already have brand new tires on the rims I am stalling and would like to fit them in the new ones....
Options,
9 ET 43.
10 ET 65 would need 15 mm spacer
10 ET 40 would need 2 deg camber. ( I have 1,5 at the moment)
I wanted to avoid to much camber as I am worry it will wear the inside tires ( MPS)
The ET 65 I wanted to avoid them more money and the spacer ....
Any ideas
Thanks
Konstantin

52 ! with 225
back is ET 56 -6 = 50 with 265, all 1.5 camber
I think I will need to go through C4 geo to take a decision....
was just reading SML posts about his Allegeritas experience...

yes I thought so, 235 at the front do fit, it's not a popular size so it is more expensive ...
I saw smls pictures with 235 on 8 and it looks find ...
what camber castor do you run ?
old picture I am amazed it works !

it sounds like you have checked these out ....

8ET50 with 235 .. no issues whatsoever from my perspective .. well it does rub on full-lock when you are driving at 2km/h but i dont call that an issue. my stock volvo s60 T5 had similar rubbing straight from the factory.
10ET40 with 265 .. i would definitely buy the the 10ET40 again .. i'm not quite convinced it can fit without a minor fender roll .. possibly ... maybe a different tyre or perhaps RS+10 height could allow it to squeeze in without the fender roll .. you can go super low but make sure you have stiff springs. the -2 neg camber gave me 7000kms road kms and 2 track days on my 180 treadwear tyres. i think the minor fender roll is worth the perfect fit! it is easy quick & easy but just dont over-roll like myself. i ended up with about 10mm clearance. far too much.

I'm not really sure about your question .... you have the correct answers in your first post.
10ET65 as you said is a pain with spacers (and illegal in some countries and adds extra weight), so i agree with you that you should forget this option.
10ET40 .. are you happy with 7000kms from 180 treadwear tyres and a possible fender roll?
if not, then the tirerack recommended 9ET43 is the way to go.

i just remembered .. you may have found this from searching but there are some guys with 10ET40 successfully fitted without any fender rolling .. in fact, the photos that I recall were 10ET40 allegerritas as a coincidence ... but the ride height looked a bit higher .. and no doubt reasonably firm springs .. so it is possible .. just depends what you are trying to do with the setup eg camber, springs, ride height, tyres.

Hi SML,
sorry for the late reply,
yes I read a few times your posts,
the spacer is a no and it adds 2.5 kg, I may add more camber but not now, my car is RS height, not higher, with rolled fenders
I find out 9 with 265 is ok, so I will go with 9 ET 43 at the back as that gives me flexibility with the camber and it's a lighter rim , I have 1.5 deg camber all around at the moment ...
for the front; I will go with 8 ET 50 they will fit my 225 but may switch to 235 later as they fits as well ,
well they look find on your car...
colour;is titanium !
I think I would like to start a thread about C4 geo for road/ track cars...
