Default Shark fin vents?

Found this interesting body modification during a search.
I don't know about the location, but it looks nicely done at least...

I quite like them, but do they have a function?

Splitter looks like the factory RS one, or very close to

I suppose in theory it would provide some cooling air flow to the engine.

Yeah I quite like them too. I doubt they have a real function though - seem to point straight at the tyre. Unless there's a ducting pipe?

I kind of like them to.

The front splitter looks like mine and it's from Cargraphic. I guess FVD has it to since they use the same suppliers for most after markets products.

Surprisingly, original sharks' fins (unpainted and without the vents of course) are listing at only £93.14 + VAT. Quite cheap in comparison to these.

Look nice but for the price is something I can do without ( 93 vs 350) . Would be more interested in how they function and what is the purpose - air to brakes or engine?/. How much air can it route, as the opening appears pretty small - Looks more cosmetic than functional.
