Brey Krause or Recaro brackets for PP's?
Been reading through all the threads in the archives. Seems like people like the different mounts for different reasons. Seems like the Recaro's have the most adjustablility and are lower? Brek Krause sit up higher and cost alot less? Or do I have the height of the two mixed up? What are the advantages of either for those that have PP's in their cars? These will be going in my turbo and I will be using the stock belts. Besides brackets and sliders, what else should I pick up to make life easier for the install

How do you plan on attaching the seat belt 'receivers'... that's the tricky part...
Also Southbound Trimmers do their own brackets which are great according to quite a few sources.
PS. Sell me those wheels!

Lol, that's usually my answer when some asks if my car is for sale!
PS. I am assuming from the pic the sizes would not work on a narrow body 964...

Three Wheelin'
Speedware side mounts on my PPs. There was a post that they were the best.

The biggest issue w/ BK mounts is that they are stainless steel and a bitc* to drill or cut, which you will have to do.
Recaro has both mild steel and al. which are easy to work w/
Southbound has the nicest setup which includes the 3 point belt mount in the tunnel side mount

Pics of the Southbound mounts (on Recaro sliders which also came from Southbound, pre-drilled and ready to go) for reference:
To make the seat belt receivers work nicely I had to use a longer bolt and a spacer to allow the receiver to poke through the seat hole. I guess the hassle with using Southbound mounts will be having to import them from the UK to the US.

There is a bracket and spacers you can buy from Porsche that sit between the recaro mounts and sliders, which is used to fasten the receiver to. It's the same part and set up that was used in the 964RS.

I used genuine recaro runners and mounts and nothing fitted quite as it should. I had to modify all the holes and drill new ones to accept the RS seat belt reciever. If I was not so into keeping things factory spec I would definately have gone for the Southbound setup.

Finally heard back from Southbound.. Here is what they said...
"Dear sir
These parts are available =
1 Pole position mounts per seat @ £ 56.50.
2. Double locking runners per seat @ £ 58.03.
3. Shipping DHL , guide £ 65.00.
Regards,
David Nunn "
So about $90 for the mounts per seat
about $93 for the runners per seat
about $104 shipping.
Assuming I did the conversions right
