Bleed the front also. When you get air in replacing the valve it can go in all the lines including the clutch slave I would think.

Yes, I would also bleed the clutch!

Make sure the reservoir is very topped off before you bleed the slave cylinder. It's really easy to get air in that one.

Besides the calipers, what else is needed to do this upgrade to a C2 that currently has the small rear calipers? Different brackets?

When I changed mine, the calipers bolted on to the existing brackets. I also changed the bias valve too.

I switched over to the four pod rears a while ago, its a direct bolt on. I have to say, great upgrade. I also took the proportioning valve completely out. Braking has never been better.

I would bleed the brakes again with a power bleeder. Start from the furthest caliper to reservoir, and work your way closer. And, make sure to bleed the clutch at the after as well. Brake should be firm. Never use brake compression to bleed the system.

Moving from the 45 to the 55 bar proportioning valve increases or decreases rear bias?

How about removing the valve, creates more or less rear bias?

Are the discs the same for both the 2 and 4 pot calipers?

Removing the valve gives you 50/50 brakes ... i was apprehensive at first, but even under heavy straight line braking, the rears don't lock up ... plus, the change is free

45 to 55 gives you a little more rear bias

removing the valve gives you a lot more rear bias

both of the above only apply under fairly heavy braking

the bias w/o a p/v interfering is ~1.6 w/ 2 pot rear and ~1.7 w/ 4pots

older 911 always had ~1.6 w/ no p/v

Since you live in NJ and I am in the NYC area do you know where to pick up ATE brake fluid locally?
