I didn't touch the pedal during the install. During the job I kept thinking to myself "this proportioning valve replacement HAS to be introducing a lot of air into the system.....I hope bleeding the rear calipers gets it out."
Anyway this is why I saved the gently used brake fluid for a quick rebleed very soon.

I switched over to the four pod rears a while ago, its a direct bolt on. I have to say, great upgrade. I also took the proportioning valve completely out. Braking has never been better.
I would bleed the brakes again with a power bleeder. Start from the furthest caliper to reservoir, and work your way closer. And, make sure to bleed the clutch at the after as well. Brake should be firm. Never use brake compression to bleed the system.

Removing the valve gives you 50/50 brakes ... i was apprehensive at first, but even under heavy straight line braking, the rears don't lock up ... plus, the change is free

removing the valve gives you a lot more rear bias
both of the above only apply under fairly heavy braking
the bias w/o a p/v interfering is ~1.6 w/ 2 pot rear and ~1.7 w/ 4pots
older 911 always had ~1.6 w/ no p/v

You are right, It is cheap but I have a tendency to over bleed and have those nagging bubbles well past the recommended 250ml has been bled. So I can easily go through 2-3 liters in a bleed.
Since you live in NJ and I am in the NYC area do you know where to pick up ATE brake fluid locally?
