Default Help with ballast resister-A/C

Hi all,
I am replacing my A/C condenser fan motor ballast resister and it came with a metal plate with a hole in it. My original one did not have this. Is this for the oil cooler ballast resister or was my original one missing. Also I need a new plastic clip that holds the electrical connector to the body work. I have been searching but I cannot locate the part number and the part number for the bolt that holds the resister to the condenser housing.
TIA

The bolt = M5, probably available at your hardware store, and just put a bunch of anti-seize on there. I was able to reuse mine, but still applied a bunch of anti-seize.

Neither side has the metal plate from OEM, but I believe it was added to help preserve the new part, so I installed it on both sides w/ my new resistors.

Can't help you w/ the clip part #, sorry.

Ya, the metal plate is to go between the resistor and the sheetmetal it mounts to. It's an upgrade to try to eliminate the internal corrosion that kills em in the first place.

And vandit is on the money, just get any old m5 allen bolt from the hardware store.

I actually took that info, and the anti-seize tip, from your thread. ;-)

Hey, I'm not sure if you're "1993 Carrera 2" on Pelican but I figured i'd cross post the part # in case you're not.

The clip is part # 999 591 758 40.

Default Clip?

Tie wrap works really well... cheap and easily replaceable.
