Default Front apron & fender liner hardware

I currently have the front bumper, lower aprons, and forward fender liners off the car and I was noticing I'm missing a clip/u-nut fastener and screw+washer here and there,

I'd like to source some new hardware so that when I reinstall everything, I can be sure that every fastener point is properly fastened.

I've bought assorted u-nut type fasteners at Autozone but I think the OEM pieces are stainless.

McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) is my go-to hardware source, but they don't have everything. I've searched in vain for stainless j-nuts/speed nuts/clip nuts...

Outside of the dealer, try these guys, if they don't have it they can probably direct you to a source:

I've also had luck with Fastenal.

I looked around the Home Depot hardware drawers and didn't find any suitable speed nuts.

I went to my local Fastenal and they told me they didn't have anything in stock, so no go there since I can't assume what I order will be a reasonable substitute.

I looked at those Aircraft Spruce units but the price is about the same as the OEM Porsche nuts (~$1.00) at Pelican.

I then did a bit of quick googling of the OEM part # and found a site called RMEuropean (http://www.rmeuropean.com/) that had the OEM part (999.591.699.01) for $.43!

They also carry another speed nut for BMW that looks similar to the speed nuts that are on the sheet metal areas of our cars, BMW part # 07.12.9.925.731, and these are only $.15.

They also had the 10mm T5 plastic underbody nuts (999.049.007.40) for $.20.

I went ahead and bought a handful of each of these items, as well as a couple of different types of Phillips head screws they also sell.*

If everything I ordered comes in and works as planned I should have my whole body panel and under panel fastener scene under control.

These are the screws I bought and ended up using for all the fender liners.

Truss Head Screw - Phillips Head with Washer 4.8 X 1.61 X 19 mm - Black Oxide Finish BMW

The only place I reused the old hardware was on the front apron pieces, the screws that have those specialized looking beveled washers. I couldn't find a good replacement for those, but luckily I had enough of them to make sure all the aprons were properly attached w/ the appropriate hardware.
