Default Wanted for 964 3.8RS

Looking for a factory exhaust for a 964RS 3.8

This is for a friend of mine who has just bought one of the 3 (?) RHD cars.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Cam

Stock 993 heat exchangers and cat would be the place to start, the RSR version used these w/ the heat sheath removed

So what is the current setup on your mate's 3.8?

*loaded question with thinly-veiled hidden agenda*

Not sure! Will try to find out.

Thanks Bill - did you mean 964 instead of 993?

Stefan I think he has emailed Freisinger

NO!!
964 3.8RS and RSR used the 993 heat exchanger/header and cat and side mounted mufflers
this is a 964 3.8RSR exhaust, the heat sheath is stripped and the cat is gutted but otherwise the same as a '95 993

here is the drivers side side muffler, I'm not sure if this is an actual 993 part or just a similar one

side view of the passenger side muffler

this one still has the heat sheaths so is a street 964 3.8RS

Thats interesting. Looking at those pictures, am i correct in assuming that adjusting valve clearance would be nigh on impossible without dropping the exhaust or is it just the angle the picture is taken at ?
