Default Advice on removing shorty oil hose between fenderwell and tank

I'm replacing the 4 short rubber hoses behind the shark fin.

This one is being difficult.

I've loosened the two 10mm nuts on the tank mounts but it doesn't seem like i'm gaining any movement from the tank.

Alright, cut the old hose off. I was able to move the tank a bit toward the back and down. Now trying to put the new hose on. Not succeeding. Help?

The tank is now sitting against the trailing arm bushing, so it can't move any lower. Still no success installing this hose.

Is the nose stuck to the nipple on the tank? If so, I had the same problem. Since I was not going to need the old one, I cut it off perpendicular to the long axis of the hose and beyond the depth to which the tank nipple protruded. I dripped some penetrant onto it, let it soak, repeated, repeated, then put some channel lock pliers on it GENTLY so as not to damage the nipple and twisted it off.

For all I know, I could have just slit the damned thing, but I was leery of scoring the nipple.

Hope this makes sense, as I have not yet had my coffee!

I heated the new part with a hair dryer so that I could compress it in the middle, then let it expand onto the nipples. Silicone spray on all four surfaces helped a lot.

A little pot of boiling water for a couple of minutes just prior to install was all they needed to be persuaded to fall into place. Worked out great! I started on the tank side then pushed it into place onto the car side. Same w/ the hose below it, tank side, then pushed the tube side into place.
