Footwell Heat
As your probably guessing upon the title I would notice a good amount of heat in the passenger side footwells after a bit of driving done, epecially in the summer now its not so fun. So I searched the forum and came up on his hose, here is the gap I found today, would this be enough to be the culprit? Should I get a new hose, or try to readjust this one? I tried to shimmy it in a way, but its tough and I feel as though I might crack the whole hose all together.

Yea, that's enough to introduce a bunch of heat into the cabin.
You should probably try to get that hose back into place first. They're tough to maneuver and, you're right, it might crack and break in your hands since they get nice and brittle with age.
Most of us who have had the displeasure of having to replace them is because they have cracked to all hell, and pour heat into the car.
For example
It's a fairly inexpensive part to buy but even the brand new tubes are a massive PITA to bend, tug, shape, and install.
Here's the part # 964-572-528-01-M260

I checked the driver one, its seated very well. I actually had not idea these hoses are all black originally. I'l try to perhaps shimmy it on, if it cracks, just get another one.

The replacement pieces just happen to be black and the ones used at the factory were brown. They did not turn brown w/ age.
Yea, I would only replace the one that needs replacing. Like I said originally, it's a PITA. Guaranteed you're not going to want to mess w/ the "okay" side after you've spent awhile wrestling w/ the new tube on the jacked up side.

My original ones came out in approximately 90,000 tiny pieces - look at them funny and they would crumble. So I replaced them with 3" CEET duct from aircraft spruce.

Black in colour and reasonably durable - wasn't too hard to get them in place.

I got replacements from pelican that were black and nearly impossible to mould into an oval. Then I got OEM from the dealer and they were much more pliable. I would not recommend the replacements with a hard black plastic outer layer.

I changed the passenger one today, but was surprised to see that the hose was actually in pretty good shape, then I noticed that the inlet that leads to the firewall is very loose/has a wobble, so you can actually move it so you see a "gap". Is it supposed to be like this? Or does it mean that it needs to be replaced? After I fitted the hose I tried to get it to sit flush, but even that was difficult.

Have a thermometer in front dash reading 58°F and my face is cool but wafts of hot air from passenger footwell.
Found this. Had a bunch of hvac ducts and blowers from a hvac delete project that i bought from a fellow.
Its hard to imagine that this stuff is reusable but he was very careful with disassembly.
Got it tidily installed and checked otherside, was good.
Thanks to all for updating this thread.

Also the driver's side and passenger side are different. The driver's side tube is something like $60, whereas the black tube above is closer to $15. Would not recommend changing it unless it needs it - total PIA.

Wow, no joke.
Left side, 964.572.527.01 = expensive
Right side, 964.572.528.01 = 1/4 price of left side
Is there an easy way to block these heat ducts right at the base of the footwell? At least temporarily. I won't need heat for another 4 months.
Also, why not use something like this instead of the OEM hoses?

I replaced all the hoses like that in the car with silicone aircraft hose of the same diameter. It was $$$ but they remain soft, pliable and can withstand the heat very well.
