Default LED lights

Maybe it's my age, but I noticed that dark cars like my Midnight Blue C2 are hard to see in the evening without any lights on. I could use the fog lights, but I decided to convert them to daytime running lights using LED bulb replacements. The Super Bright LEDS H3 DRL bulbs are nice. I removed the bridge plug in the relay box and connected a jumper from one of the unused relay sockets with with 12V present when the ignition is on to the fog lamp connector. Now they are on whenever the ignition is on as long as the fog light switch is on. I had to modify the fog lights by removing the black shield inside because it interferes with the longer LED lamp, but they look great.

Since the tail-stop lights are not the brightest, I also added 3W red LED lamps, and it makes a big difference.

If anyone is interested, I can give more details about the fog lamp wiring.

I also previously replaced the relays for the windows and sunroof with jumpers so they can be operated with the ignition off.

I'd be interested in more details and pics of the taillight set-up.

I just replaced the dual filament stop-tail light with red LED ones from superbrightleds.com.
First, I tried a single 3W LED, but it was about the same as the original bulbs. Then I got an 68-R2W with three 2W LEDs and it was significantly brighter. They have even brighter ones.

So many different bulbs on that page, it gets confusing.

Are these the ones you got?

In red?

I just ordered some misc. LEDs for the tails and interior lights from dealextreme, but I'm not sure if they're gonna be what I'm looking for as far as performance. We'll see once they show up in the mail.

No bridging necessary in the fusebox.
just plug a relay into the appropriate position, in the fusebox.

Which relay? Is it for the Canada DRL? Does it go where the "bridge" with the diodes are for the USA?
