Sounds like a great plan Frank, it should be killer when finished. "One Man, One Engine", the AMG way. Looking forward to your updates (and excellent photos).

Got a good chuckle at the (updated) wartime posters:

"Now Panic and Freak Out"

All that planning has paid off with what sounds like an awesome spec. As others say, looks like you're in safe hands.

Definitely a GO car!!!!

Holy cow! Sounds like an amazing project. Congrats and glad to hear you are rebuilding. Your car will really be a very special 964. I sense another Total 911 article in the wings!!

Frank, that sounds like an amazing spec, good luck and can't wait to hear it and see it in action! 380hp will be awesome - luckily you put those big reds on a few months back, you are going to need them...

Nice one Frank, I haven't been on here for a while so a bit behind the times!

Sounds like a great build & should be a whole lot of fun. As far as mapping goes, I'd be getting those run-in miles under your belt ASAP with plenty of decel runs then I'd be heading oop north to get it on the rollers.

I may have to pop into Redtek for a sneaky peek next time I'm passing! Best of luck with it all.

This looks terrific.

I am about to have a rebuild on my own newly acquired car and this has given me food for thought.

I normally "live" on 911UK but this site seems to be far more active in regards to 964s.

I want to send a PM to ask things like cost, but cannot easily see a way to do it!

Thanks for all the kind words gents.

Nick's sending through an update and pictures soon. I'll try my very best to pass on all that is said.

I don't believe I've understood your question? Are you talking about the 4WD system?

Cheers Ray. I sure miss the girl - it's been since March that all this started. Can't wait to have her back home and run in.

So what's the plan for the exhaust? I think I'm going to have to be reasonable about DB levels!

Cheers Ben. I'm still dying to see your finished car! Gutted I won't be able to make the next meet! What have you decided re film?

Hi Alex, how's your car? Engine all settled in? You'll have to come to one of the meets.

Running it in will be interesting and I'd like some feed back... the plan for the moment is pre made map that nick has used for past 3.8 ITB cars to run the car up to the mapper. Then map it. I assume a run in period on the rolling road....?

Hi Frank, congrats on the project.

How did you go about your camshaft selection? Did you consider something milder than RSR cams given you plan to use the car on the street and the track?
