If anyone is interested i've organised a drive from The Bushe Cafe (Blackbushe Airport) to Mercedes-Benz World for a static display there. There is an entry fee (£25) so that we can raise some money for the North Hants Deaf Children's Society who have helped my family a great deal as my 2 year old son is deaf.

It's Sunday 13th July meeting at 9am

ALP'S TOUR SEPTEMBER 12-14/16.

Fella's I know some of you will have seen this posted on the London 964 FB page.

Henrik (those on the Spa trip this year will have met him) and I are looking at putting together a 4 or 5 day tour of the Alps with the possibility of a track day at Mugello!

For now we have approx. 6 people all in 964's and possibly a number of others in a mixture of exotica.

Henrik, know's the Alps better than I do, he's pretty much mapped it out already, and he's posted the following.

"Mugello is with BAT Sep 16.

The plan is to drive mostly the French Alps, but would include Verbier through Chamonix, Aosta, Gd St Bernard & Pt St Bernard, Beaufortain, Col d'liseran, Galiber, Alpe d'Huez, Col d'Madelaine etc etc.
If Mugello is included we'd have some Italian Alp roads for the drive back north."

We plan to stay in comfortable, but inexpensive accommodation, and enjoy the driving each day rather than get into late night drinking. (hope that hasn't spoilt it for anyone)

There is no fixed agenda at this time, we just want to gauge what the interest is fro the London 964 group.

Hi Mike,

Frank has started a separate thread called

London 964 Owners Alpine Tour, so from now on we will be posting everything up there.

I've been looking at the route Henrik has suggested and have looked at what hotels are available in the £60 - £120 per night bracket on www.booking.com.

We will need to make some decisions quickly as its getting hard to find Hotels in the various area's that have enough rooms.

Here's some great news. I have been liaising with 911 World magazine, I have worked with most of the team on the mag in the past, and got them to run a feature on London 964. It will be a big deal - front cover and a 10 page feature. We will be doing the photoshoot next week at Chobham Test Track, as we want to get 'action' shots. They want eight cars and we have already found or five confirmed. Ideally as we are looking at the front cover, the brightest colours possible would be good. If you are available next Thursday and want to join in the fun please let myself or Frank know. It may be that we have already got the cars needed by then - but I am sure it'll be fun to pop along as we may be able to get you in the feature.
The good news is that 911 world has agreed to run a big feature on us and that's brilliant news for the 964 scene which doesn't get enough ink! Perhaps this is that start of the recognition the cars deserve.
