Frank,

Planning to make Goodwood although I'm cringing (a lot) at the thought of what time I've got to get up!! It better be a stunning breakfast.

Also registered with Paddock pass even though I put down concourse condition. Huh. (kidding!)

From experience, I can assure you that your first day at 'big school' won't be a day you'll forget in hurry, you can expect to be wedgied, have dead arms and legs and we'll take your dinner money off you! If you wonder why you keep getting booted in the **** you'll find its probably due to the 'kick me ' sign we stuck on your back! In all honesty - you'll love the warm welcome , the driving and banter! You'll be made to feel very welcome- we always trick new boys into a false sense of security before we send them to Coventry and I am REALLY looking forward to meeting you! :-)

Oh, and all my fellow nine sixty four swordsmen - I thought I'd give you a heads-up... You can look forward to the big reveal of the new look Purple Enemy - when it passed the MoT without so much as an advisory i thought it deserved a little present. A few close compatriots are in of the secret - but I wouldn't have told them if I thought for a second they were the type to gossip. I am extremely happy, and so is the legendary Purple monster. We both hope you approve of the fairly major addition.
I'd never change anything if I didn't think it would improve the car. The downside is that I sadly won't be first at the bar this time around and my bank account flatlined in shock and every time I open my wallet tumbleweeds roll out of it.

A bit more news - I went to the viewing of the Historics auction at Brooklands today and there's a LOT of Porsches coming up for auction tomorrow. A VERY nice 1980 911 coupe in silver. A couple of 964 based '73 2.7RS 'tributes' - one based on a crippletronic. The one with black and silver plates on a J-reg was convincing. I can't recall how many - it was one or two SC based 2.7RS A VERY nice 964 Turban with 80K on it - silver with red leather. Very clean car - estimate was something like 24K to 28k. A dog **** barn find RHD 911T. A 964 Convertible with the full Toni & Guy option pack - Salon red with peroxide white leather, electric roof, Mitsubishi Shogun ride height. It's got everything you don't want (except a metal roof). You can see them all at www.historics.co.uk - worth a look, especially for the silver 964 Turban, and the 1980 911 - that was a clean car and the estimate was very low IMO. Right, got some DIY tasks to do then it's 964 time. Out with the wax to get ready for tomorrow!

Will anyone be bringing the stickers tomorrow? Been wanting one for ages!
