just a question when you turn the ignition key all the way on, do your front fans run on low speed even though the ccu fan speed is set to O . thnaks

Front fans as in the front bumper (a/c condenser and oil cooler fans) or the blowers in the HVAc unit behind the dash?

The CCU itself has a small fan in it that is also audible when running and I think it runs even when the blower is set to "0"

the blowers in the dash. in other words with the ignition on i get air from vents

Yes, those 2 fans always runs when the ignition is on.

Per Adrian's book, pg.8 as of model year 1991, 0 = blowers off. So I guess this means 1989 & 1990 blowers were still on despite fan speed at 0.

EDIT: just checked my MY1991. 0 = slight breeze from dash vents

yea mine come on too...its a late 90 build so they list it as a 91.

I thought there was a thread on this quite a few years back and even on cars with updated 993 CCU's the fans were always on, even on "0".
