I've got proper withdrawal symptoms. On Monday the house smelt strongly of spirits/solvents, smell coming from utility next to garage. No smell in garage. Checked utility for split bottles etc. that evening smell worse and traced to pool of fuel beneath nose of car. Took photos and removed car from garage.
Discovered stream of fuel from level sensor sender on fuel tank and pool in spare wheel well.
Car recovered on trailer by 9e from Hertfordshire to Surrey.
Traced to faulty rubber washer on fuel sensor. I had brimmed the car shortly before garaging on return from the trip.
9e have fixed. Part cost £3. Not part of the car they touched during fettling.
Picking up on Saturday, just like two weeks ago. Hope I don't get a FPN on this return trip......

@cheeksyboy - awesome vid as you managed to get my first ever lap and my first ever track day! A real keeper!
Silver lining and all that...can you now go RS washer bottle and remove front crash bar (err maybe not?) for a bit of weight saving...

I've spent a lot of time on various tracks, over the past 20 years, and my first rule of bringing it back safe is paramount. Just so that you can do it again another day.
You will always look back and wish you had done more or something different, but your initial instinct is the one to follow. The amount of times I (and others) have 'just' done another lap, and it has al gone wrong....
I missed the last hour of Saturday (I always finish early) and was gutted when I heard that the track had got better. Even more so when Sunday was cancelled, but I was able to drive home, rather than being recovered on a transporter or worse - so I did the right thing for me.
I did 135 track miles on Saturday, and that's not unusual for me. Track days are usually 100-150 miles, yet this time (because of the weather) I only used half a tank of juice, rather than two.
Finally, don't change anything on the car (or sometimes I have contemplated changing the car) for a month afterwards. It could be a knee-jerk reaction to what has happened on a particular session, and you could destroy what is perfectly fine for 99.9% of the time you drive.
Track days are a bit of fun in a controlled environment - nothing else.
