Thanks for the kind words. I remember you saying you had moved on from your RUF wheels... any pics of the replacements???

Well I'm a bit of a nostalgia fan. As I sure you know Tag Heuer sponsored Porsche throughout their racing. Though I took it off straight away, bit too fan boy and broke the lines since there's no indicator...

Car looks awesome!! Prefer it without the TAG sticker. I have used Mer Wax for years.. not many seem to use it now?

Good write up Frank.

I've always used the two bucket technique and it really helps to avoid micro swirls - I use grit guards in each which really helps to avoid transfer of dirt from the micro fibre mitt to the paint whilst washing.

Man I hate cleaning my Cup Design rims though - so fiddly and time consuming to get inside them as were the turbo twists on my old 993!

Here's another very good washing technique guide that I have always used:

Polish and dodo juice wax for me, after using loads of different waxes, dodo juice is by far my fav.

Cup 1's on now Frank, rufs went to a local rennlister so probably see them soon. Mine is in at the local Porsche centre, had the engine out replacing a bunch of gaskets/hoses etc, good news is that they didn't find anything else (had a full rebuild in the not too distant past).
Bad news is that they've found (cough) a damaged transmission hose which according to Porsche, design911 etc is on a 3 week+ lead time...

It's not a very exciting colour or with wild coloured wheels - but it's just smart/ subtle in my view!

Thanks for the kind words - right back at you! Great avatar pic - post a large pic for us?
