Are there still places up for grabs for this event?

Us Newcastle boys are heading over to the lakes and we thought that if there is room for us we could join up with you.

There would be five of us, all 964's.

Cheers

Thomas

No probs,,

And thanks for the bump,, I will be ringing the hall and museum tomorrow, so parking for up to twenty cars.
The score will be standard entry prices of the two places but if we hit the numbers I'll pass the savings back there and then.
I'll do two pickups on the m6 at services on the way,, cannot miss me in that rubystone car.........
So keep a eye on here and if your shy pm me all welcome and we'll have a nice day out and if more turn up,,great! both places can take loads of cars, so if your iffy and scared of rain like I was, come if the weather on the day suits you..

So keep a eye on here this week and I'll put times and places up..

Good news. I'll look out for your meet up time and place.

We were planning on leaving Newcastle at 9:15 and it'll probably take us a couple hours to get there.

Looking forward to meeting you guys.
Cheers,

Thomas

North East meets North West, this should be a good turn out all round!

It'll be weird having more than the 5-7 cars we normally have on a run!

Cannot wait to meet the North east chapter,,,,,,,

Okay, we should be at holker hall at 11.30 ish,,,,,

so plans for the day,,,

meet at 10-10.10am Sunday 20.5.12 Charnock Richard, Chorley m6 services,,

stop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 41mins later,,,,

Burton in Kendal Service Area 11am,, 11.10am off again..

Ghengis and his gang could wait for us on A590 as the services in this area are single sided on the M6 (you'll be cutting across and coming down will you?)

Then cruise into HOLKER HALL ,,,,, 11.30 ISH''''''' LA11 7PL

Then leave the hall 2.30pm in convoy to lakeland motor museum LA12 8TA

16 minutes up the road,,, they have the cafe and picnic tables also..

hope every one is happy with this and all my info is off aa route planner...

See you Sunday.................... nearly forgot ten people in the hall we get a discount ,,, password rennlist,,,, then we need twenty for lakeland, so when we get there I'll go into reception and get like a ticket and you'll present that on paying your way in,,,,, I'm in the rubystone 965...........(Gaz))

Sorry, Gaz, I will have to miss this one.
I need to do some stuff for my parents and it's the only suitable day.
Have a great day - I'm sure you will - and take plenty of pictures.

Hi Gaz,

Undecided yet whether to cut straight over to Carlisle and then down or do the scenic route via Hartside over to Penrith then down. Either way we will do as you suggest and wait on the A590 somewhere. I'll have a look on google earth when I get home and see if I can spot a good place to catch up with you.

We are down 1 man due to unforeseen cat bypass issues on Marky's car so for now we are a group of four. 3 x red and 1 blue as seen on Deutschland Dobsons (Chris) BBS LM's thread so you know who to look out for.

Thanks again for organising this event, I for one are really looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Thomas

Chaos,,,

Ha, no thanking me pal,,just trying to keep our hobby alive and hoping the porsche gang can be like the vw gang and have a social life with their cars.
I have heard over the years people moaning nothing ever happens,we never meet up,,etc etc.
So this is my attempt to try and do something now and again with our cars, a nice partner place first and a car museum for lads on the second bit..

I hope it works? and I'll do more things in the future..

So if anyone is doing any thanking it will be me to you for turning up, as I don't want to look like Billy no mates at the two places....

GAZ,,,,

PS, THE MOTOR MUSEUM HAS A CLASSIC CAR SHOW ON AS WELL ON SUNDAY, SO EVEN MORE FOR US TO SEE,,,,,

Gaz,

Scanning Google earth I see there is a layby on the left shortly after joining the A590 from the M6 heading west. I'll aim to get the gang there for about 11:00 -11:15 or sooner if we get a good run. Does this suit your plans?

We'll just watch out for the Porsche convoy and tag onto the end. Hopefully there won't be two groups out

Woo Hoo - road trip!

Cheers,

Thomas

Good,,

We've got our mobile phone numbers sorted now,so we'll have contact and should have a little cross country convoy.
Dude your plans are my plans,,,,,so whats good for you and the lads goes.
I'll google earth that area and make myself aware of it,,don't forget I am on the proper side of the bulk head,,lhd car so kerb side I see more.

I hope everyone doesn't listen to weather reports, because here today on the wirral the weather was meant to be bad and its lovely,so come and don't be scared of the rain.................SALT IS THE ENEMY.......... and remember you wash your car with water and put it in the garage,,the wind will blow the RAIN away while driving honest....

GAZ........
