Default Bleed the Bomb

hi,

I was advised on a previous thread that i posted that i may need to bleed the 'bomb'. What exactly is that?

I know what bleeding the brakes and clutch is, but not that :-)

Cheers

The bomb, is the ABS accumulator in the frunk on the floor, looks like a classic round bomb hince the name.

You will have to use care, it is under a lot of pressure until it has been depressureized.

Its part of the hydraulic system, on the right of your spare wheel, you'll see why its called the bomb

Should be bled with the rest of the system, but I guess is missed a lot of the time

There is a metering block that also gets missed. Might be too mysterious for some people to deal with.

It's not that hard to do, but you do have to follow the instruction with precision as not to make a mess, hurt yourself or damage the car.

The Shop Manuals, section 47 describes this process within the section on removing and installing the pressure warning switch.

It is in Adrian's book too.
