Default 964 Intake Manifold

Does anyone know if the 993 intake manifold will work with the 964 system. They look similar but one is $30 and the other is $90.

If you are talking about the black plastic injector stubs, the 964 ones have a slightly smaller internal diameter to the 993 version so although the 993 version can be fitted to a 964 engine there may be a step in the bore diameter which could have a negative impact on performance. That said, on a stock 964 installation with stock ecu chip I doubt you will see a huge difference - but that's only my opinion.

Colin and Makmov thanks for the input. Can anyone who's done this provide any feedback.

I read about someone who did it, and they said the overlap lip is very small. They said you just have to be very carefull aligning the stacks up on the port to get them just as perfect as you can get.

Any performance losts is probably unoticable.

I only need one. The edges cracked during removal. I plan on doing a total rebuild in the future when finances are not as tight. I just want to get the car running and on the road. I guess I will give it a try.
