I was at Essen auto classica a couple of years ago and PS had a very large display of cars there, all I can say is AWESOME, their stuff is like on parr with the factory classic department.
Very well turned out vehicles and if I was a lottery winner this week, I would look what they have for sale as I know it would be perfect.

Beautiful no doubt

But think what original factory kit you could get for that money

Nice, but for $180,000, I'll take a GT3 RS 4.0, please...

Beautiful car but you can sure build one your self for a heck of a lot less money and build exactly the car you want.

Is anyone keeping tabs on how many 964 donor cars are being transformed into "modern classics"? Is it too early to start back dating 993/996s into the increasingly rare 964?
Mine just gets more original every day.

Looks familiar

Also looks to be well done, and costs about as much as a PS Autoart car does these days.

As to how many of these have been done by these types of companies, the answer is not many. Singer has built 3 or 4, Paul Stephens' PS Autoart has built 27 or so in 7 years. Autofarm, 9m and a few others have done a few in the UK. Now that 964s are getting their due attention as great, classic cars, I'd suspect that even fewer will be converted going forward (as I've said elsewhere, I got lucky in that mine was converted before I'd bought it - I really wanted one but I would never have had the stomach to cut up a 964 even when a good one was £10-12k).

Its funny how things go around. First everyone was respraying their pre-74 cars red and adding whaletails and blacking out the chrome, then the impact bumper cars all got cup wheels and 964 bodykits, now we are taking all that stuff off and trying to make them look early again..sheesh.

I sold my 993 with the idea of backdating a 964. After having the 964 for a little more than a year I am in no rush. I really love the car as it sits now and have been slowly sorting out all its minor issues. I think if I was going to drop 20k into it I would get a re-worked 6 speed and put the rest away for a nice engine rebuild.
