I'm also looking at these so some feedback would be great.

Thanks,

in defense of hargett covers - I was one of the ones bitching about plug fitment etc...in the end - yes they were a pain. Yes they have sharp edges, and no they dont come drilled for the clips for the wires...

But - they are inexpensive and very good quality - and the plug fitment issue ended up not being an issue - Mine were rattle-canned and we drilled and tapped them to install the clips - using a photo someone previously posted on RL as a guide - and then smoothed off some of the harsh corners so as not to bloody the hands later removing them etc...

In the end- they are good looking, clean, dont leak, and worked out perfectly. Would I buy them again? Honestly - for price yes - for looks I would go with the eagle day covers...and OEM is OEM...always a good choice too - but I would definately not un-recommend the Hargett covers...

Goughary and others,

I'm stuck and not sure of the right decision, so your thoughts would be helpful:

I have billet valve covers and they leak. My shop can skim them and make them fit right with the stock gaskets (grooves are too deep). The price to skim them will end up being about the same as purchasing these from rennspd.

So, what would you do?
1. Skim the billet aluminum covers
2. Buy the rennspd covers

Thanks,

if the price to skim them is the same as rennspeed covers - and if that solves your problem - then buy the renspeed covers and sell yours on ebay. - that would be the cheepest way to go.

I have just ordered a set so I'll let you know how they work out, but it may be a while before I do, I just found a broken head stud when I went to do a valve job.

I also ordered a set today, so am hoping they work well and are solid quality. I will report back once received and installed.

The rennspeed covers are factory Porsche 92 - 94 aluminum valve covers with the factory part number cast right on them. I bought a set a while back and they are the real deal. No need to worry. I also bought a set of 92 - 94 factory Porsche aluminum upper valve covers to go with the lowers.

I have one of those; it's not that uncommon. I'm ignoring mine- they've been breaking ever since there was a 911 so far as I can tell.
