Default Dust Guards

After spending a lot of time and effort cleaning and replacing the various bits of my suspension, I dont want to put the heavily baked dust guards back on in this state at over £100 a pair they wont be replaced has anyone got any magic formula to shift the brake dust ? Nitromors has been mentioned as worth a try ?

any suggestions welcome

Looks like you need to befriend someone with a bead blasting cabinet. It'll get all that off, and the blasted surface is perfect for painting

6 or 8 cycles in the dishwasher on pot scrub cycle with strong dishwasher soap.

I'd be concerned about potentially toxic brake dust residue being left in the dishwasher and contaminating the things you eat & drink out of. But then, I tend to think of weird stuff like that...

I also will not bake painted car parts in the oven...I bought a garage sale toaster oven and use that for smaller stuff. Bigger parts, I send to a pro.
