Thanks to all who have posted! This is an interesting thread.

My suspension upgrade is underway. The rear top mounts were toast and had to be ordered from Germany so it's going to take a week longer than anticipated. Should have the car back next week. I saw the car with the front suspension installed and it's definitely lower!

I want to sort out a few issues in the very near future:

1) Bilstein HD's and H&R turbo springs, lowing car to near euro RS ride height. I purchased the parts from Mark and Darin at FD Motorsports (Thanks guys!) and will have my longtime mechanic install this next week. I'll take before and after photos and post them up.

Done! Great results. Photos are in a separate thread.

2) Inspect brake lines, oil lines, 90K service items that have not been done yet. This to happen while car is in the shop.

Done!

3) Goldenrod shift rod from FD Motorsports. I plan to install this myself.

Still pending as budget allows.

4) Replace CCU panel switches ala Laker's DIY. (Thanks Laker!)

Still pending but now extremely urgent as power switch is broken and I need the AC. Will order parts on Monday.

5) Replace hood shocks.

Done!

6) Figure out some type of radio to listen to on my daily commute. Right now I am leaning toward a small portable unit by Sangean. I will not be installing a stereo and speakers.

Pending, I just need to order the radio but have yet to do so.

7) Repair or replace driver's power window switch.
Pending-will order with CCU switches on Monday.

8) Chase down and eliminate squeaks and rattles.

Done! One annoying rattle disappeared after the suspension refresh. The other turned out to be a hose that was squeaking. A little Aerospace 303 resolved this!

9) Paint correction. Order Flex obrital buffer, pads and waxes and work on Guards Red paint.

Pending-This is on hold until I take care of the other items and replenish my 964 budget.

Complete 993 brake upgrade finished (calipers, rotors, master cylnder and vacuum booster.) Next is a new limited slip or torque bias diff. Still comparing expectations from both.

Removed the lower dash, passenger airbag & power door locks from my race car over the weekend. Replaced with Rennline light weight dash delete. Very satisfying removing weight and redundancy from a race car!

Just completed replacing the engine carrier with the Rennline reinforced carrier. It was not a very difficult job, even without removing the rear bumper. Had a little trouble sqeezing the engine carrier out the top of the engine compartment because there was not much room with the rear engine tin slid back only and inch or two. I needed to remove the secondary rotor cap, and move the air conditioning compressor out of the way. And putting the rear-most engine tin screws back in was a bit tough, because there was very little room to work.

Next on the list:
Oil change
Rennline Track Mat
Suspension upgrade
Brake upgrade

Switches have finally arrived but I have not had time to replace them yet. Soon to be done I hope.

Default Er ....

This has taken many, many hours of sweat and elbow grease to get to baremetal. No glue left - hurrah!

Chuffed to bits with the quality and fit of the Rennline lightweight lower dash, just like OEM.

Appbiz RS "Plus" door panels nice, too.

Dyed hand brake, centre consule and gear ****/shift boot with Surflex Porsche 917 black. Highly recommend Joanne (www.colorplus.com)
