Default More Paint Job Picks

Here are a few more from the paint shop, window frames were painted first then windows put in. also we opted to go with no rubber flange in the front fender to frames, we sealed it off with a body sealer to prevent moister from causing rust again

installing the oil system new hoses and thermostat, hoses where a bit of a challenge because of the diameter being a little wider
i purchased all the short hoses but had the long blues hoses built locally with old fittings

Have you used some kind of sealing compound on the thermostat/oil filter/front oil cooler connectors? I think I see some white 'stuff' in your pictures. I am replacing all these hoses and hadn't thought of using any sealer, just replacing the washers. Is a sealant recommended?

yes i used an aircraft thread sealer (white) it's not recommended but i think will help
i also filed the washers to ensure a good fit and used a red gasket sealant here too

good luck

Nice idea on the wing sealer, it looks good
One question though what was the reason for fitting the glass before painting the rest of the car?
Other than that it looks spot on

Both of the oil cooler fittings on my car are weeping above the hose-side nut. What are my options? Undo and reseal using existing fittings? How? Go the whole new hose route? Also, what size wrenches do I need for these fittings?

Got it all back together around May and have been out having ball ever since
had the threads on the power steering pump come loose that was a quick fix
oil lines are holding good and paint looks good

i'll wait till winter before tackling more projects
