Default Gap between top shroud piece and engine shroud

When reinstalling my fan housing/alternator assembly, I reinstalled the piece that mates up to the rear blower and noticed that a small gap exists between this piece and the big shroud under the intake manifold. When the car is running, I can feel a bit of air escaping through here, but not much. I think one of the tabs on the big shroud where it mates to the small might have broken off. Will I be okay running like this?

Are you referring to the plastic tube which runs from the heater blower motor and connects to the top of the fan shroud?

I had the same issue down where the top shroud mates to the bottom shroud and had to fiddle with it a bit to get it tight. If memory serves the two shrouds have to be tight together first, then the top bolts can be inserted and tightened.

Good luck!

This piece.

The back doesn't perfectly mate up to the main engine shroud. There is a bit of a gap at the back.
