Default 964 wheel change

I want to change to cup 1 wheels (17x7et55 and 17x8et52) on my 1990 964. what if any modifications are needed? thanks

What are you currently running? 16"s?

You can get away with no changes, but ideally, you'd want to update the steering stops to prevent rubbing on the inner front fender wells when you have the steering at full lock.

it's no big deal if the steering rubs on full lock. i have never turned the wheel to full lock at more than about 2km/h, and as you are aware there is a rub, you just need to be a little careful and dont ram the steering wheel as hard as possible on full-lock. just back-off if it touches lightly. you get used to the rub point anyway after a few months. no big deal.
