Default no spark or fuel?

Hey guys, fact finding post...

car has no spark or fuel. turnover/ battery fine.
everything you can inspect looks great.

Is this an electrical gremlin? I had similar issues with the alarm relay last year but a ticking sound gave that away. I replaced it could it have gone again? Also, what is the part mounted to the fuel tank which my strut brace runs over...could this have been damaged by some hard cornering?

what are your thoughts please?

Have you tried swapping DME relays? A faulty relay will prevent both fuel and spark but you can crank the starter all day.

If i understand your question correctly, that part is the fuel gauge sender. If so, most likely not related to your current problem (the sender just measures the amount of gasoline in the tank).

I agree with Rocket Bob: try a new DME relay (if you're new to 964s, good advice is to carry a new DME relay with you at all times; a faulty one is often the cause of no-start).

Thanks all. now sorted. There was a loose connection under the dash and amazingly we picked it up pretty quick rather than tearing everything apart! live and learn!

It's the coils, I had the same problem about a month ago, no fuel nor spark but everything else is good, I change DME relay checked fuel pump and still didn't start, took it to my mechanic and he cleaned the coils and BANG it started.
