reprogramming the spoiler
#106
Sorry to be dragging up an old thread but I came across it when researching my faulty spoiler electrics. Did this project progress any further it sounds interesting...

I have 10 module units sitting on my workbench to be tested. They've been in a box for awhile , but I need to complete this project.
The module has inputs from ignition switch, speed sensor, the spoiler limits, and the manual switch on the center console. It has outputs to the up/down motor and alarm light on the dash.
I'll spend some quality time soon to get a user manual together on programming this module.

Yes, I am interested too.
Mojo - what's the latest on this project? Got any prototypes ready to test? I'll certainly help if you need another person to help. Mac-based computer with some computer background, so hopefully I can assist in getting things going if you need me.

I have modded my old style control module with a pair of ajustable resistors. It is a bit of trial and error to get the speeds right but works like a charm....
All thanks to mojorizing for an excellent mod!

I have 8 modules available. I've been running a module in my car for the last few months without issues.
These prototypes could be my final run - the resistor mod documented here should satisfy most to change the retract/extend speeds.
Here's some more info on the modules and software:

I'd like to recoup some of the expenses of this project. The hardware costs $50 per module, and shipping is $6, giving a grand total of $56.
