Finally... an update.
Had to finish up a home remodeling project, so the car was sitting for a while.
Anyway, I had Mark at Split Second build me an FTC-1 to replace the faulty original "black box".
Mark also built his "enricher circuit" into the FTC-1 which enables you to change where the it goes from closed loop to open loop. I have not played around with that yet.
Also installed a PSC-1 signal calibrator to dial in the air-fuel ratio and a DashDaq to monitor fuel pressure, boost, and AFR.
I installed 42lb injectors, but they are too large for the PSC-1 to modify to an appropriate AFR, so the stock injectors are back in for now. May try 24-30lb injectors at a later date, but for now I'm just going to DRIVE IT !!!
At Mark's suggestion, I installed a new 1000cc 7th injector also.
AFR's are now around 12.5 under boost.
Smoked for a bit after sitting for so long, but that cleared up after a few minutes.

Runs fantastic now !!! No power loss after 4k rpm, no unusual timing issues.
Will update with some pics in the coming days.
