This is discussed earlier in the thread. Up for very lumpy money and no mention of the race history or crashes, according to Thomas Schmidt. Was for sale in Europe for 18 months at €170k and all buyers walked away. Acquired by Hexagon in auction. That's the gist as I recall.

Now that is a beautiful car

Some of their other stock is rather nice too!

Anything at Hexagon will be nice and very expensive. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell. I might find an excuse to take a look at it when I'm in London next week.

I went in to have a look, the car is on sale for £ 350,000

The car is immaculate, it has clearly been repainted. It's understood that the car was involved in a track crash and was rebuilt by Porsche early on in it's life.

I personally am not a fan of this one because of why it was bought and the lack of transparency regarding the cars history by Hexagon.

I think Hexagon paid cEUR220,000 for it from Auction. Its a lot of dough to cough up

I thought I'd seen 350k mentioned somewhere.

Lack of transparency by a dealer

This looks like a nice 964. Not much info offered by the dealer, but has a twin outlet exhaust system, so likely has some other mods too!

Cosmetically it looks very smart. If it is theres money in it even with an engine rebuild.
- had a quick look at this one today… it is very clean. Just as good -or better- than the pictures suggest. Within the documentation there is a [Peter Morgan] PPI report from 2003 at the time the last owner purchased it. In his 10 year ownership its only covered a further 5k miles…

Not my favourite colour, and the red-piped / light interior isn't to my taste, BUT, it's a clean C2 with almost full history . . a good buy for someone (who has more available funds than me )

Lovely colour what ever its called!

Did you have a splitty before the 964 then? I've been trying to convince the missus for 2 years now. Frequent trips to VW shows in the 964 is slowly working!

An expensive shell or a good starting point?
