Turboboy

Hi guys,
thinking of buying one of these soon. My budget doesnt stretch to the 3.6 unfortunatly. Just wondered if any one had one and what they are like to drive. Some say the turbo lag is significant and i wonder how i would find it to live with. Would love to know about performance and handling from those that have driven them. Also tuning options to improve driveability.

The 964 Turbo is a great car in a lot of ways. The 3.3 is not as powerful as the 3.6, and neither is all that impressive in stock form. Yes, there is boost lag up to about 3500rpm. It is really hard to beat the look of the widebody 964, but they still have the same basic engine as the 1978 930.

A Leask wur, boost controller set to .9 bar and headers really bring the 3.3 engine to life. Boost is all in at about 3000 rpm with this set-up.
