Stuck on Spoiler gear repair
Any ideas on removing the cable shaft from the worm gear, I followed the procedure but bearing race is still on cable shaft (which was supposed to come off worm gear but did not) Bearing broke on second hammer tap
Got it soaking in Pblast now
Got it, took a bit of work with pblast, and a torch, splines were corroded heavily

Have you seen my DIY?
Place the assembly in a vice, but don't tighten it, just let the bearing rest on the two jaws. Give the worm gear axle a good whack with a punch from above.
Cheers,
Tore

Thanks Tore, your stuff is quite helpful...I just had a very corroded bearing with rust that spread to the connector /worm gear spline, some solvent , some heat and a quick tap on it came apart
Guys this was not a difficult fix and the bearing is readily available, my Bearing was so bad the motor burned out due to the stress...I now have a dead silent smooth operating rear spoiler...no more coffee grinder...wish I had caught it before the motor went south!!
