Default Value of 1994 C4 Widebody???????

Guys

Looking at a 1994 C4 widebody with COA. It has 91k on the odometer and a recent clutch replacement, both main seals and valve adjustment. Blue on cashmere. Case is dry as a bone, but there is a oil leak towards the rear of the car or front of the engine. Not major though. Has a g-pipe. that is the only mod. Brakes recently replaced. Clean inside and out. What is the value of this car considering there hasn't been any top end done. Owner is at 28k but want to make sure I am at a fair value in case times change and have to sell.

Thanks

Tom

Um... if you are that worried, then spending $28K on any car would be a mistake. Also, if things "tank", you might not be alone in trying to sell and fewer will likely be buying at "todays prices". Its a risk.

How long would you plan to own the car?

Is it an "investment" or will you use it?

At 91K miles, what shape are items like shocks/suspension? What do we mean by recent "brake work"? If you did have to drop the motor and rebuild (maybe $10-15k?) is that something you can afford? PPIs are nice, but they can't catch everything. Like is a risk. Buying an 18y/o car is also a risk.

Leak down and compression test in a good PPI should tell you about health of engine I think

lots of informations and never told facts around the C4 widebodys here

- still working on my english - sorry for that but its easy to find people who want informations and even harder to find someone with helping hands ...

you can follow TL-R on facebook too

by the way - prices are rising weekly - in my eyes a good price ... let me know VIN and i see what is stored about the car ...

91k is definitely higher mileage... Many of those C4 Widebodys were hunted by collectors due to the low productions numbers... I think mid-20s is fair. Thought as others have said, you would want to get a THOROUGH PPI to catch any down-stream costs...

Good luck. Those are beautiful coupes!

I have 2 94 tl cars I paid 25k for the last one ( a few months ago) but it need brakes and a clutch 92k miles ...so I would do the ppi and if it is ok i would go for it...they are hard to find in that price range and if any 964s move up in price the tls will move the best...remember most body parts will have the 965 prices
money aint worth sh..t...and on your death bed you wont be saying i wish i did it...just my $.02
good luck
Dan
