Default My 964C2

Hi this is my new to me C2 in Baltic blue, had it for about a year now and been playing with it for about a year doing bit& bobs when time money allows.....

Started off with a fairly standard car that had a repaint about 3/4 yrs ago and was nice and clean bar a few rust spots and the owner had 2 new front wings put on at the same time to so body wise it's all ok.... But the car had done high miles and the engine needed a top end rebuild so I got that out for a inspection and it needed more than I bargained for so rather than chuck big money at it I started looking for a good engine and a found a nice 32,000 mile 993 tip with ecu & loom so that's what I went for and that's when it started.......so far I have...

993 engine, loom,ecu
New 993 C4 engine mounts
993 de cat pipe
993 mufflers(modified)
New clutch
Rebuild calipers with new pistons, seals, paint, brake lines
New discs rear
New shoes rear
New pads,sensor wires
New h&r springs
Bilstein HD'S
New spring cups
Powerflex bushes F&R arb's,rear swing arm, front lower arms
F&R top mounts
Cup 1's..satin black, so last year darling but I like,um
New front screen rubber
New rear screen rubber
New window scrapers
New 1/4 glass (993)
New 1/4 rubbers(993)
New rs rear screen
New front screen
New door frame felts
Re,paint door frames
Re,paint window trims
New bumper top trim(smile)
New rubbers on the lower skirts
New re trim on dash, lower dash, door tops,1/4 tops, gearstick, consol,in alcantara
Rs radio blank....£5...yippe!!
New momo s,wheel
Rs doorcards(appbiz)
Recaro spg re,trim in leather(southbound)
and a few bits& bob that I can't remember.....

I'm crap at pics so here's afew random ones that I found...

I still got lots to do.....

Get geo, ride height done
Get exhaust done as running a fabspeed supacup at mo and it's horrid, so it's going in next week for my fab man to do and he's going to run 993 mufflers to fit with rsr mods and a de cat he's a hot rod man so said I will be no probs...
Get new rear arm adjusting plates made up as there £550ish each from Porsche...eekk!!

I have had probs getting the front down to rs + 10mm as the n/s front is all the way down on threads but the o/s I have about 1 1/2 inches left on threads..... Very strange , so getting my CNC shop to make me a set of lowered perches to get it down to the height I want and also going to put eibach spring on to see if that helps... The front end has not been in a prang and on the geo ramp it's all ok' I did notice on the original shocks that from left to right shock that the right hand shock had about 1 inch of tread left compared to the left..???

Its coming together very nicely and I also like the Alcantara addition. I bet its pretty loud, check out our RSR header setup for it, it might be a nice addition to the car for added power and sound.
thanks,

I can't find a pic of my old trim but found this on the forum and it looked very similar to this apart from the posh carbon dash and the dash was blue..

Recaro's on a dummy run before fitting with southbound runners....they fit yippe!!

I think I need blue seatbelts....kerrching!!

Can't wait to get it on the road for the spring and hit some meets, shows as I have not really driven it much since I got it as been busy at work and home and wanted it nice and tight so I can enjoy it from the start... To be honest I was a bit unsure of the colour when I got it as its a bit middle of the road and I like bright colours like rubystone,mint/signal green but my pockets aren't that deep for a rs so this will have to do!!.....I was going to colour change it to mint green but it's slowly growing on me now,and I have had concours cars before and it's to the point of being very presentable but not to the point of me worrying about the odd stone chip on the bonnet!! Plus I think I will use the money to just slowly tweak it for a nice set up that I can just drive and enjoy....
