This made me laugh out loud.

Subscribed to thread - really looking forward to how this progresses.

Just got off the phone with Gamroth...

Make the above a full wireloom strip. He has been experimenting with exhaust and has a new one up his sleeve, which we will do; this will require a full bumper cover replacement...

This all promises to be fun!

Some guys get to have ALL of the fun. This the kind of stuff Walter Mitty dreamed of while his wife was shopping.

Claudia is now gutted and awaits the trip to the body shop for a new, lighter "hat". After that, the cage gets fabricated and then back for paint. We'll finish cleaning the interior after she returns and before starting on rebuilding the dash and wiring harness.

Please pardon the giant pics: I wanted you to get the "full effect",...

Oh my! Should we look forward to the pics of my little girl without her roof; can we stand the carnage?

I feel badly that much is being done that I should have done myself, but know in my heart of hearts that she is in some of the best hands in the world.

A 2500# 964 with MCS suspension should be an absolute joy to toss around the track. Of all the things we're doing (which is essentially all one can do with a car), I remain most excited about the seat. Odd, huh?

Thanks Steve...for all.

Hey Kai/Steve,

Is there any backing plate behind those sub straps drilled through the floor pan? I am looking at re-enforcing my setup and not sure the best way to do it without breaking out the welder.

Marc; they are through bolted with ~3" x 1/4" plates beneath. Gamroth did this so I assume that is how he handles all of them at the shop.

We all lose our heads once in awhile so this will be interesting for you,...

You will be quite stunned at how capable she will be after this makeover, (seat included)....

Its a genuine pleasure!
