On rare occasions cars come into our workshop which redefine the term awesome. Make no bones about it, for some reason this is definitely one of those cars.
It's a genuine 964RS Lightweight in its original colour of Amethyst which around 6 years ago 9m rebuilt into a widebody 3.8 using all new and original factory panels. At the same time the engine was treated to the full 9m Motec package and superlightweight flywheel conversion, whereupon it made the expected 330hp on our dyno (i.e. more power & torque than a genuine 3.8RS) and obviously transformed the response and driveability of the engine. With the wide track and Motec, this is definitely the best driving 964RS we have built as everything just feels "right" - in our view if all 964RS's had been supplied like this Porsche would have sold hundreds more!
The fastidious owner recently returned the car to 9m for a complete repaint and to replace a badly damaged rear Speedline rim (replacement happily sourced through Viggo / Rennlist!) so it is now absolutely perfect again. However, said customer has now had a change of plans with his business so has regretfully decided to put the car up for sale with 9m, so if anyone fancies owning the best looking and handling 964RS that we know give us a call. We're looking for offers around £125k which significantly less than the build cost and probably half the price of a genuine 964RS 3.8 in today's market.

Nothing to be ashamed of, we're all in love with Kermit. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The difference is that I for one would not want to drive Kermit anywhere but on track, whereas this 964RS has such a unique ride and handling combination that I would definitely use it as my everyday car.

If it was Slate Grey, it would be the best looking 964...

It's a peach of a car, of that there's no doubt.

But that's a big premium over and above a "standard" '64 RS Lwt.
I've no doubt the conversion cost a lot in parts Colin, but it's still a "converted" '64RS when all is said and done. (or a 3.8 RS replica, if one were to be really harsh)

Either way, it will always be a genuine RS at half the price of a 3.8, so I guess the value will be ultimately be decided by the new owner.
