Default New guys here plus question - what kind of wing is this?

hey all - new 964 owner here as of last Friday. Currently own a '68 912 and have two 928's in my past. I'm now over to the air-cooled dark side!

Been reading through everything trying to come up to speed on everything 964's. Will definitely lower the car in the new year. Question: what kind of wing is this? Oh and maybe I should make the pictures larger (ok - finally reduced the massive size!)

If only the pictures were a little bigger so I could see.... Just kidding It is an aftermarket add on to the stock 964 spoiler. This is not a stock wing that came on any production car that I am aware of. Could possibly be from a company called MA Shaw? They sell all kinds of wing and spoiler accessories.

Good question! I am curious too, as my 90 c 4 looks like it has the same one. The files I received with the car have the invoice for installing it, but it does'nt specify any details of the spoler or the price. Mounting and painting it cost 204 dollars in 1999 though

Congrats. You really got a great deal. I love the wheels. I am still looking but I am having a hard time finding one closer to the north east.

I think it's a Techart spoiler, as seen in their 964 catalog:

Here are a couple print screens from the catalog...

Yep it's a techart spoiler I got one on mine, and it's going straight in the bin as soon as I'm done with my jobs on the rest of the car...... Not my cuppa tea!!

thanks guys - yep, it's definitely the TechArt one! I'm not sure if it's going to stay - part of me likes it since it reminds me of a subtle duck-tail, but not sure I like it when it's raised. There is some clear-coat peeling on the rear lid plus a small crack so I'll have to decide what to do when I get it repaired (rip it off or keep!).

And yes 911Jetta, I flew down to the Bay area on Friday to pick up Andy's car - drove it back to Portland that night!

I must say i'd take one over the E.T. 3rd brake light if the 'basket handle' had a brake light integrated.

Hello and welcome by the way! Nice 964!
