Well, I have made a bit of progress, brake job is well behind but the suspension took me a while to figure out. Removing the hat from the strut was a bit of a chalenge. I used an old (chinese) 22mm socket that I grinded flat on ech side of it so I could use a large crescent wrench and the allen key inserted in the center. that went relatively well.
Although, the KW perch is slightly different, it uses the same 22mm socket for the top fastner, but rather than an allen key it is a 10mm socket head. So my chinese contraption didn't really worked, I had to order the fancy 22mm open end socket.
See the picture below maybe that will expleain better.

I have now reinstall the A-arm with the new bushings and ball joints. I also replaced all of the brake lines (hard and soft), the tie rods, and the drop links.

Well done Stephane. You will be absolutely thrilled with the result. I have set mine at about 80% hard, bump and rebound on all four corners and love the firmness. You will want to get a 4 wheel corner balance next for the ultimate experience once you've decided where to set the ride height. CONGRATS!!! It's a great feeling to know you did it yourself too!

Three Wheelin'
Very good choice, them kw,s are very good.
Transform a 964.
I went for the billstein, better for the poor roads in the uk.
Allso rather than rebuid the stock calipers, converted mine to 993.
Look loads better, and performs very well.
Ive been out on track with "boxsey" and his car is very good at the bendy bits, KW suspension is to blame .
You will have a well sorted car ready for spring.

Thanks 964russ, makes me feel much better about the purchase, which can't be counted as an investment,...
I am still waiting for wheels, and untill so, I just can't put the car to the ground to fiddle with the ride height, and ultimately tune the suspension.
So I removed the floor carpet and decided to follow on babalouis and MAshaw and replace the master cylinder which had a tendency to stick. I actually bough the clutch master and the slave since they have been on the car for 18 years. The master cylinder replacement was easy since I had flushed a considerable amount of fluid out of the system while redoing the brake lines and calipers.
I discovered that the floor is quite nasty with the foam covered with styrofoam. So I ripped it all out and will fabricate a wooden floor board. Just a tad more to add to the overall list.

Ok, now the brake job is well behind me, however I have opened a huge can of worms by trying to refresh and replace everything that needs attention. I should have gone a different way about it, but winter is long and I have my weekends to move along.
Now that I removed the old nasty foam floor, replaced the clutch master and slave (which was a biotch by the way), I decided to move into the inside of the car and refresh some of the things that have been bugging me for a while.
The gauges need to be cleaned and refreshed. I decided to remove them and to send them out to North Hollywood speedo, for refreshing.
I also need to install these seat that Santa brought me for christmas.
