Default Stripes question

For which years were the side stripes "original equipment" on 911's ?

Was it for US cars only ?

Richard, I'm not sure when they were offered.

The nice looking coupe in the OZ Alleggeritta thread got me thinking about a simple dark stripe. Looks especially good with an RSA tail if you ask me.

On tab/page 4 - the black 964 with the gold wheels - (looks good)
What type of wheels are those and who makes ? - or have they just been coated?

Phoenix, the stripe looks great. Where did you get it made? And I love the color. If you get a chance to take a nice high quality profile shot like the picture I've been working with above, I'd love to try out a few different wheels on your car in photoshop.

Not sure exactly what wheels they are, but they came from a RWB car. Seems like he uses that wheel on a lot of his builds. I agree, looks great. But the offset wouldn't work as shown. The wheel I used was off a widebody. Could probably be built to fit a narrowbody.

Those wheels are Volk TE37 by Rays Engineering.

Light, strong and priced accordingly. I think Colin (Ninemeister) is a dealer and has used them on his 9M/964RS builds.

Silver Stripe over Midnight Blue. I should have taken the picture oin the sun not in the shade.

How do most of you clean and wax your car without damaging or gunking the decal,..??

I have seen cars with the small piece of sticker removed over the large "C", is this on purpose to make easier for cleaning,..

Here's a start that I figured some people might like to see. I'll add the LM's next.
