Crappy Motor Mounts Failing :(
So the Hamburg Technic 993 Motor mounts I bought from Deutsche Parts on Ebay exactly 1 year ago seem to be failing. My suspicion stems from my exhaust tip is sagging down about 1.5"-2" down from where it was when I first installed them.
This is not really a surprise given the low quality of the stuff and discovering that the "Hamburg" they speak of is in Manchu Province and not Germany.
So it looks like I am going to pay again and get the proper mounts with the proper pedigree.
Buyer beware.

Sorry to hear but the stuff DP USA sells is absolutely horrible. It's the cheapest stuff possible. I've had BMW owner friends who've bought suspension pieces from them tell me they failed within 6 months. Shows you that sometimes you really get what you pay for..

Wevo blues here, no regrets whatsoever.
They're not even harsh IMO, NVH increase was not noticeable anywhere except at highway cruising speeds where you can hear a bit more rumble, but that's about it. I don't have a hooked up stereo either, so I hear and feel everything the car is doing and the motor mounts are working out perfect.

I filled a complaint with those ******. EBAY said they were going to revoke them. They have an F rating at the BBB and a whole pile of unanswered complaints, and have broken FTC laws. I wouldn't buy a paper bag to carry my lunch in from them.

Futhermore, they were not that much cheaper than a real 993 mount.

I hope you're right but I doubt it will happen. I've had an eBay store for many years selling Porsche parts and I can tell you eBay only cares about the money they make off of you. I've had customers ask me to carry the same brands as DP USA and I flat out refused, I won't do it. I've only heard horror stories about these guys..

Seems to me there are four types of parts suppliers for our cars:
1. Original Porsche branded - you know what you are going to get but usually at top dollar.
2. Original Porsche part supplier (e.g. Bosch) - same quality but not in a Porsche box and therefore less dollars.
3. Performance aftermarket supplier (e.g. Wevo) - provide quality and prepared to put their reputation on the line.
4. Porsche part copier - don't give a frig about you or what they are supplying as long as they get your dollars.
The supplier of the mounts in this thread are obviously a category 4!
