Detailing Pics of mt RS America
Below is a link to some pics I took on my iPhone last winter when I was detailing my RS America.
about the car:
It's a low mileage 1993 RS, that I bought last summer. It is in exceptional condition but I decided to take it to the next level. This winter I'll work on some other minor detailing projects too.
I won 1st in class and Peoples Choice at the only Concours I've entered thus far. Maybe more next season.

I basically used a combination of Oil Flo (http://www.titanlabs.net/oilflo.htm) and Kerosene and a wide variety of brushes. Basically, you paint the oil flo or kerosene onto all of the cosmoline and let it sit for a few minutes while it dissolves the cosmoline away. Then wipe with rags and repeat. After this I used P21s to wash away all of the oils from the oil flo or kerosene. The BEST tool I had in this entire process was a garden sprayer with water. After the p21s I would spray the water everywhere to rinse everything down. The pressure from the sprayer worked great. Finally, a nice coat of wax on the painted bits.
Its is truly amazing how much cosmoline is down there. Its was on my brakes shocks, springs, its everywhere.

You had to go and ruin it for the rest of us who thought we had clean cars, you do realise that these sort of photo's do nothing for my OCD car cleaning weakness.
Now I don't know if I should spend some money on a shrink or more cleaning products.
