Default 964 RCT RUF

Wow....This is my new baby!!! It is a 94 rs america converted by ruf.

Today I took him to the mechanic just to see if everything is ok and to do a complete maintenance as it hasn't been started in a year. On the way he will fix a small oil leak. Previous owner (my father) did little use of the car in the past 9 years around 10k.

I have tons of ideas for future projects:

* repainting big reds
* repainting front bumper
* little rust bubbles in the front windshield corner
* speedo/ odo fix
* new rubbers and gaskets for the body
* new tires

if u have any DIY links for the above or anything cool please advise

DROOOOOOOOOL

BTW I have an old road test of Ruf RCT from a UK car mag in the early 90s. I'll scan it when I get home

1. Sweet car. *Reallly* sweet.

2. You better get on this, and expect it to be worse than it looks:

Search on 'rust' and you'll find unhappy examples. Hopefully your car will be in better shape, but better to go in with your eyes open.

Talked with Hartmut from palo alto speedometer. Im redoing the speedo that has a craked see through plate (you can see it when the lights are on), the tach that looks cloudy (specialy with the lights on) and the oil gauge that the plastic face looks sort of wrinkled and wet.

Will send the dials to PA Speedometer next week. I will keep u posted

Oh BTW the Clock is displaying the airbag light. I will try a DIY Airbag fixe posted in p-car.com. This will be my last hhhhuuuraaaahhh before buying a new/used one.

Stunning car!

Here's a link to a great article about another Ruf RCT. I like the article title, given that your car used to be your dad's...

From RSAmerca.net >> This is NOT your father's RS America
