Interior door handle cable

Interior door handle cable
Didn't realize that I had the central locks on, pulled my interior door handle and POP, it stopped working and was stuck out a bit.
So I took the door panel apart and it seems the cable that goes from the handle to the latch in the door is stretched. Is there a way to adjust this cable, or in the least can someone tell me how to remove it from the latch side for replacement? The door handle side is easy enough but i can't see how it connects to the latch inside the door. I believe this is the part number: 911-531-509-01. It's listed as a bowden cable.

Finally got around to pulling this cable out, and after further inspection it doesn't seem that the cable is the culprit. There is a bracket or support part number 911-531-097-00 that has failed (pictured). However, this small piece of plastic is listed for around $40!
However, the cable itself seems to bow out between the two brackets, anyone know if this is normal? I really don't have a desire to take the other door panel off to check.

The cable that connects the interior handle to the latch. This is the diagram:

Between the two support picees (27/28) is the cable tight or bowing out?

I don't think it's possible for the black covering to stretch, so i'm assuming I had it in wrong or it's supposed to bow out between the two points. I have a new plastic support on order from parts heaven, so as soon as that comes in we shall see.
My interior door handle stopped working when i attempted to open the door with them locked.... POP no more getting out from the inside!

Update: I did finally get this sorted out. It turns out that a previous mechanic for some reason changed the bolt that held this piece in place. After destroying another support I ordered a second one WITH the bolt and got everything back together.
