OK, this is mostly cosmetic ![Cool](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Still, the balljoint in my throttle pedal was kinda loose, and the bolts all rusty.
D-Zug offers this alloy gas pedal, textured surface, welded aluminum, uniball connectig rod and firm pivot, that is a tribute to the pedal used in vintage racers. I could not resist. The pedal is not designed originally for the 964, but inverting the base plate makes it fit perfectly. SS bolts and washers make the setup more resistant to corrosion.
Seat of the pants dyno says 7-10HP gain.

Cool!
I've had my eye on that DZug item for a while, I was wondering how it might work in a 964. But given how it seems to curve away at the top, is it easier or harder to heel and toe?

In my case it doesn't change much because my heel and toe technique consists more of the side of the foot touching the gas pedal, a bit behind the ball area, so just where the curve top is on the new pedal.

Look nice, George, although I'd prefer a bit more aggressive texture on the pedal surface. Do you find it grippy enough? It'll also be nice to hear how you like it in the winter months.

From what I've found, and what I prefer, the gas pedal should be smooth without excessive texture.

If anything I would think that eventually you'll wear a spot through the powdercoat, and the base metal will show through. But I think that sort of patina will actually look quite nice.

I'm with Quad. The last thing I want is a grippy gas pedal. My sole has to be allowed to slip on it to not restrain the pedal movement.
Brake and clutch are another matter.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing the wear pattern on it. It'll go nicely with the mileage of the car.

Here is V.2:
I needed an ear on the pedal for heel/toe. I sourced some aluminum, cut my favoured shapes, and had it welded by the local firendly machine shop. It has no curve, making it more similar to my other cars, so there is no surprise effect on re-acquaintance. The ear is what has worked for me in my former P-cars.
