Aero mirror install (wiring)
I've searched through loads of flag-to-aero mirror upgrades posts to find the correct way to wire them up, but none of them (that I can see) refer to 7 wires on the drivers side? I.e. Some mention 5, some 6....
i have 5 on the passenger side and can connect them, so Am I correct in saying that there are 2 additional ones on the drivers side for an air sensor which is fitted inside the flag mirror housing?
If that is correct, and as my new aeros have 5 wires apiece, is it possible (or even a good idea?) to retrofit the air sensor in the aero mirror and run 2 additional wires to the wires coming out if the door?
Thanks in advance, any advice appreciated

Hello there. First I'd like to mention that I'm a new member here and I've found many of the chat threads quite interesting and informative.
I have a '90 C2 and just recently performed the mirror conversion myself. I was very unsure of the wiring setup myself so I decided to role the dice and install the motors from my old flag mirrors into the aero shells. I found it to be much easier as I just had to reconnect all the same wires.
Six weeks later and they work perfectly! Good luck!

Yes, the sensor sits in a holder that presses into a hole in the shell of the mirror.
You might not have seen this article, it doesn't mention the sensor but it 's a good read.

Thanks Marc - Ive seen a couple of posts from you in the other threads too.
It looks like I'll have to do a bit of trial and error connection.
My passenger side has 5:
blue
blue/black
green/grey
red/white
brown
my drivers side has:
red/black
red/green
