Default Fuse box engine compartment

Hi
This is a 1991 911 964 Targa Carrera 2 with Tip.
I have tried to open the rear fuse box but no joy.
Tried to unfasten the top 2 screw *****, but they just turned. The bottom one did come out.
I cut off the top of the *****, hoping to be able to slide the box cover off, but the cover appears to be glued to the box.
Any experience with this? How does it normally come off?
Please email me as well at
DIS933@hotmail.com

Thanks
Don S.

they are plastic nut heads on metal screws. The plastic head becomes detached from the screw and spins.
You have to rip off the plastic heads and then turn the metal pin/screw like you would with the bolt head (counterclockwise) with needle nose pliers to get the pin/screw to come out.

Hi
Thanks for the comeback. Tried your suggestion, but the studs just spin and do NOT come unscrewed.
The question is can the lid ride over the screws, or are there some other retainers which keep the cover from coming off. The bottom of the cover, where there is the 3rd fastener, does lift off a little, but the other two location, there is no lift off.
Thanks

Pull as you unscrew and see if they start to come out.
I think if you pull and hold it between the two stick spots, you'll hear the seals let go of the lid.
Only those 3 'bolts' hold it on

My screws were striped out and they would not unscrew, hence the screw driver came out and that fixed it, I had a spare cover and installed it with out issue until I discovered the housing had a stripped out screw socket. I had a spare one of those too - in the end it took about 45 minutes worth of work to replace both the housing and the cover. You can find those parts cheap on fleabay
